Click Fraud Auditing and Detection

Click True was designed from the ground up to help you quickly identify and block fraudulent or low-value clicks from content syndication networks. Click True has two main features to help prevent click fraud. First, Click View Auditing allows advertisers to detect web sites that may be generating fraudulent or low-value clicks to your online ads. Second, once these web sites are identified, they can easily be added to custom "block lists." These blocklists can then be imported into any online advertising network that supports web site blocking. (As of this writing, Google AdSense™ is the only major network supporting block lists.)

Auditing - Click Quality Reports

Advertisers can track the source and quality of paid clicks from all of their online pay-per-click (PPC) ads across all networks through a series of Click Quality reports. These reports are custom-designed to identify web site landings from PPC ads that do not generate any value for your web site. Click Quality reports are designed to answer these questions:

1. Where are the majority of clicks on my pay-per-click ads coming from?
2. Which web sites are displaying my ads through content syndication networks such as Google's AdSense?
3. Are the clicks coming from my PPC ads generating real value?

A sure sign of click fraud is an increase in paid clicks to your site from content syndication networks, without a noticeable increase in leads or web site conversions.

Prevention - Custom Block Lists

Block Lists are lists of web sites, identified by you, that generate low-value clicks to your site. Once you identify these sites, they can be input into online advertising campaigns that support a "blocking" feature. For example, Google's AdSense ™ program allows you to add up to 500 sites per campaign to their site exclusion list. The site exclusion feature restricts your ads from appearing on the sites you specify.

To help you identify these web sites, Click True maintains a master block list containing thousands of web sites. If your web site receives a paid click from a site on our master blocklist, then it will be flagged as "HIGH" in the fraud rating. There are a series of rules that go into the fraud rating assigned to various clicks. However, it is up to the advertiser to determine which sites are truly creating value. That is why we provide easy tools for adding and removing sites from your custom block lists.

In addition to block lists, Click True provides a custom "Go List" for each advertiser. The "Go List" is simply a list of web sites that you have identified as legitimate sites. Once you add a site to your "Go List" the site will no longer be flagged for low-value clicks and the clicks from that site will no longer be counted in the "bad click" percentages.

Blocking and Monitoring

It is often the case where over 50% of fraudulent clicks may be coming from one or two web sites. Blocking these sites helps drastically reduce click fraud within your campaigns. However, our experience shows that click fraud is growing so rapidly that advertisers must regularly monitor the click quality of their sites. Once a site has been blocked, often another web site begins attacking the same keywords. Click True's patent-pending web crawler has identified over 5,000 web sites generating low-value clicks and the number is growing rapidly.
